Upgrading Locks To British Standard

On a wooden door there is often a requirement from your insurers to have a lock that is BS3621 compliant. This refers to mortice locks commonly known as chubb locks. You can tell if yours is a BS3621 lock by opening the door and looking at the fore plate of the lock. If it states 5 levers and has a British Standard Kite mark on it and underneath says BS3621 then yours will be ok if it doesnt have these markings then we suggest you replace the lock as yours will not be compliant.

If your looking for high security anti snap locks, then please note that its only 3 star diamond grade euro cylinders that are specifically designed to withstand a snapping attack and of these locks its diamond grade that is the highest standard.
